What it is

Personal Finance is a tax planning and analysis plugin for Claude AI. It gives business owners a set of tools for understanding their tax situation, running scenarios, and making informed decisions.

What's included (2026 parameters)

The plugin comes loaded with 2026 federal and state tax parameters, including:

• Federal brackets and standard deduction
• All 50 states plus DC income tax brackets
• Self-employment tax rates
• QBID thresholds
• NIIT thresholds
• SALT cap
• HSA and 401(k) limits
• Catch-up contribution rules
• S-Corp payroll tax calculations

This works in Claude desktop (Cowork) and Claude Code in the terminal. Run these once:

How to use

You can use it in two ways:

1. Use slash commands directly

• /personal-finance:tax-review
• /personal-finance:estimate
• /personal-finance:entity-compare
• /personal-finance:projection

2. Just talk to Claude

You do not have to memorize commands. The plugin activates automatically based on what you ask. Try prompts like:

• “Review my taxes.”
• “Estimate my tax bill.”

• “Project my finances for the next 5 years.”
